Join us for a day trip to the fantastic Compton Acres in Poole. The day offers a guided tour of the site and Japanese gardens with celebrated horticulturist Mary Payne. Full itinerary below.
Compton Acres was designed in the 1920s, and the Japanese garden has a Tea House, thatched summerhouse and stone and bronze works of art imported from Japan.

Working itinerary
10:15 am: assemble in the cafe
10.30 am: Full garden tour with Mary Payne (approx. 1 1/2 hours)
12.30 pm: Lunch
1.30 pm: Tour of the Japanese garden and discussion with Mary Payne (approx. 1 1/2 hours)
3 pm: Guests free to stroll or leave

Lunch
Unfortunately, tables in the cafe cannot be reserved. We will do our best to eat as a group. The cafe menu can be found here.
Alternatively, you can bring your own packed lunch to eat in the garden, although there is no designated picnic area at the garden. Further details can be found here.
