RHS Rosemoor – Japanese Discovery Weekend

The RHS is celebrating the flowering of earlier varieties of Japanese cherries by hosting a range of Japanese cultural activities within their new Garden Room from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 19^th and Sunday 20^th March 2022. Normal RHS Rosemoor admission fees apply.

The Japanese Garden Society will be there throughout the weekend explaining the Japanese garden features illustrated in large photo of the garden at Adachi Museum of Art. We will also encourage visitors to ‘have a go’ at designing raked sand patterns within a miniature karesansui garden. Visions of Paradise booklets and past issues of Shakkei will be available for purchase.

Other Japanese cultural demonstrations include Ikebana, Bonsai, Calligraphy and the martial arts, including Iaido and Karate, and the opportunity to learn more about Japanese mindfulness techniques.
